Matthew DeCristofaro joined the Anderson-Ehrmann Team in 2020 to spearhead its operational side as Team Coordinator, and his role quickly evolved into a hybrid position showing the team’s properties and working with clients. He worked with the team on the successful and rapid sellout of the new development condominium, The Graydon Chelsea, and has done many individual deals for the team while building his own client base.
Drawing from his diverse professional background, including high-visibility entertainment industry roles and luxury property management, Matthew has honed crucial organization, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. His experience in managing intricate schedules, coordinating extensive travel arrangements, and facilitating high-level business matters translates seamlessly into managing complex real estate transactions and maintaining strong client relationships.
Matthew's journey in real estate is rooted in his family history, with his mother Rosemarie DeCristofaro, the top real estate broker in Callicoon, NY, shaping his early understanding of the industry. However, it was during his tenure as Executive Assistant for one of the most famous actors in Hollywood, managing two luxury properties and assisting in numerous domestic and international real estate transactions, that Matthew truly fell in love with real estate. These experiences also provided him with unique insights into property management and construction.
Born in New York City but raised in Callicoon, in the western Catskills of upstate New York, Matthew now calls the Upper West Side home, where he has recently become a homeowner. His love for the city is evident in his enthusiasm for exploring its neighborhoods, trying new restaurants, and enjoying the theatre. An avid bicyclist, Matthew is passionate about the outdoors and travel, having visited over 40 countries. Coupled with his Master’s Degree in Geography, he brings global perspective and deep understanding of diverse cultures to his life and work.
With his transactions centered around Manhattan, Matthew has sold and rented properties in virtually every corner of the borough, including the neighborhoods of Tribeca, SoHo, Greenwich Village and both the West and East Villages, NoHo, Chelsea, the Flatiron District and NoMad, the Lower East Side and Chinatown, Gramercy Park, Murray Hill, Clinton and Hell's Kitchen, the Upper West Side, and the Upper East Side. His business, along with the team’s, continues to grow.
